In partnership with New Era, the CFL launched a contest to promote it’s 2019 CFL Draft. Tasked with delivering the campaign’s visual device, we developed an abstract composition compiled of Canadian football themed objects such as field lines, stadium lights and jersey numbers, etc. The focal point of the composition is a prospective player taking a hand-off, which symbolizes the start of their career and pasting of the torch from a veteran. The player’s uniform is segmented to reflect the idea that it’s yet to be determined which team colours they will don.
