One Great City Brewing Co.

One Great City is a brewery and tap-house with deep roots in the city of Winnipeg. The company name is a crafty-nod to the city’s beloved “Welcome to Winnipeg: One Great City!” signs that stood from 1990 to 2008. Years later, the city’s nostalgic tagline lives on in folklore for Winnipeggers and now beer enthusiasts across the prairies.

Throughout 2024, we worked closely with the founders to build a new identity that taps into that Winnipeg charm. The job included a custom logo kit, iconography, colour-stories, type design and messaging. Along with the reimagining of their package system; the brand language sends a direct message celebrating the flavours that make Winnipeg a gripping place to be.
