One Great City Brewing Co. is a brewery and taphouse with deep roots in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The brewery’s name is a crafty-nod to the city’s beloved “Welcome to Winnipeg: One Great City!” signs that stood from 1990 to 2008. Years later, this nostalgic tagline lives on in the hearts of Winnipeggers and now beer enthusiasts across prairies.

We worked closely with the founders, crafting custom typography, logos, supporting iconography and messaging to launch a brand that encapsulates the quirky character of the city. Along with the reimagining of the entire packaging system, the brand’s language sends a direct message celebrating the intricacies that make Winnipeg a wonderful place in this own ways.
